No more getting stuck on competencies
The photo is taken, the activity is over, and one question remains, the one that makes people give up: which competency from the program do I tick? This small file answers for you. You attach it once to ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, you describe what your child did, and the AI tells you what to tick in Traces and what to write in the comment.
What you get back
A short answer, always in the same shape, ready to copy into the app: the subject, the competencies with their exact wording, and a one or two sentence comment written the way a parent would tell it.
The file carries the whole program exactly as Traces uses it: the fifty competencies of elementary and secondary school, with the cycle each one belongs to. So the AI cannot offer you a competency that does not exist at your child's level, nor invent wording your screen never shows.
One text file, downloaded once and kept with your documents. It works with any AI, with no special account, no install and no extension.

- Download the file The button is just above. Put the file wherever you like, you will not touch it again.
- Drop it in a project, if your AI has them ChatGPT and Claude offer projects, spaces where a file is dropped once. Create a « Homeschool » project, put the file in it, and every conversation you open there will already know it. Otherwise, just attach the file to your conversation. All the instructions are inside, you have nothing to write.
- Describe the activity in your own words Give the child's grade along with your description. « My boy is in grade 3, he made cookies with me and he doubled the recipe » is plenty. The grade matters more than the age: it is what decides the competencies, and an age falls between two school years.
- Copy the answer into Traces You tick the competencies it suggests, you paste the comment, and you adjust anything that does not sound like you.
With a project, you never deal with the file again. Without one, the same conversation serves all week: as long as the file is in it, you can go from one activity to the next without attaching anything.
